My late father Benedict Amaechi Ugorji is a lover of wisdom and ardent supporter of education, hence the setting up of this foundation.
MISSION:
To serve as the welcoming heart of our community, providing a space where everyone can learn, discover, create, and connect. We aim to inspire a passion for education, empower individuals with knowledge, and foster a culture of lifelong learning.
VISION:
Our vision is to empower students and community members with the skills needed for the 21st century, including technology proficiency, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and good citizenship. We are committed to promoting literacy, cultural enrichment, and the love of reading across all age groups.
LIBRARY:
The Benedict Amaechi Ugorji Public Library will provide free and equal access to information, knowledge, and ideas. We promote personal enrichment, support lifelong learning, and encourage a deep love of reading. Through our resources and programs, we aim to cultivate literacy, foster cultural appreciation, and provide educational opportunities for all.
THE MANAGEMENT CENTER:
At the Management Center, we equip leaders working for social change to build equitable, sustainable, and results-driven organizations. We also serve as a channel for governments seeking to educate larger populations, develop and execute policies, and achieve shared goals.
The Benedict Amaechi Ugorji Free Public Library
The Benedict Amaechi Ugorji Free Public Library is a nonprofit organization based in Irete, Imo State, Nigeria, dedicated to promoting literacy and lifelong learning. Inspired by the enduring passion my late father, Mr. Benedict Amaechi Ugorji, popularly known as B.A. London, had for education. The library is a tribute to his legacy, his initials, B.A., which coincidentally align with the academic degree Bachelor of Arts, became a cherished reference to his self-declared “degree from London.” To honor his love for knowledge and to provide greater access to educational resources for children and students, I built this state-of-the-art free public library.
The library aims to foster curiosity, promote literacy, and inspire learning, contributing to the development of well-rounded individuals and a stronger, more educated community that we can all be proud of.
The Management Center
The Management Center is a product of my extensive experience in management roles within Fortune 500 Companies such as Amazon.com and Target Corporation, where I served as an Area Manager and Operations Manager respectively. During my time in corporate America, I led these companies into new markets, drove growth, and managed over $3 billion in P&L responsibilities. With an MBA from Ohio University, Executive Certificate in Disruptive Innovation from Harvard Business School, and his expertise in Finance, Supply Chain and Software Development, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the center to help your Organisation to achieve new heights.
Supported by a diverse and skilled board, the Management Center is committed to transforming organizations by driving new growth opportunities, penetrating new markets, and enhancing employee engagement. We work with leaders striving for social change, helping organizations build equitable, sustainable, and results-driven structures. Additionally, we serve as a valuable partner to governments aiming to educate broader audiences, implement policies, and achieve shared objectives.
